Description
From their debut release of ‘Blue Lines’ in 1991, they’ve had cameo artists like Shara Nelson, Tracy Thorn and Liz Fraser perform, survived Mushroom’s departure, and have now brought their latest album Heligoland to all who have waited. You'll find vocalists like Damon Albarn and Hope Sandoval on some of the tracks, but it's the group's expansion of creativity that gives Heligoland a stronger, more powerful sound.

Comments about EMI Massive Attack - Heligoland:
They're still making music that no one else does. Unfortunately Massive Attack haven't done anything new here. This album needs time to get under you skin. After that you'll say "Same good old Massive attack".
Comments about EMI Massive Attack - Heligoland:
For the first time an album of Massive Attack sounds uneven, unsettling. Each track is different, there is no well-defined trait d'union. Massive Attack are back, they have given to the press nor the masterpiece nor their epitaph. Perhaps some filler too, but overall 'Heligoland' indicates Massive Attack as a group far from dead. And these days is a lot.

This album definately harks back to Mezzanine with songs that are dark and beautiful bumped up with some great electronica. Definately a return to their best!

Comments about EMI Massive Attack - Heligoland:
Another great album by massive attack. doesn't break any boundaries but doesn't feel like a re-hash in the way 100th Window did. A great album.

Comments about EMI Massive Attack - Heligoland:
3 or 4 songs that i found to be quite good and atmospheric, but otherwise not really engaging, which is a shame really. A few more listens may well change how i feel about it, but at the moment the 3 or 4 times i've heard so far have not really made me want to go back for more.
